Hi guys! I suppose you’ve already figured this out, but I’m Dr. Chris. Well, technically I’m Dr. Christopher Dressel, DC, but really—who wants to read the same stuffy bio you’ve seen on 100 other doctor websites? I suppose I could go into detail about how I graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 2012 with my Doctorate of Chiropractic, or how I also have a degree from the University at Buffalo in Exercise and Nutrition Science, but again—stuffy and all too familiar.

What I’d rather go on about is what makes me tick and what makes this office different. First, I’m a local guy, through and through. Born and raised in Buffalo, I have a passion for the area and those who call it home. I also have a passion for learning and sharing my knowledge with my patients. See…the thing about medicine, exercise, and nutrition is that they’re changing as often as our weather. Staying on top of the changes in these fields is something I really love to do, and it allows me to offer the best care and the most current advice that I can to everyone who comes into our office.

I’ve always tried to practice what I preach when it comes to my patients and their care, and I feel it helps set this office apart. Part of the reason I can help athletes fix their knee, hip, or shoulder pain is that I’ve run marathons, I’ve hiked up the Rockies, and I’ve played (or still play) every sport that ends in “-ball.” Being active means the occasional injury creeps up, and there’s only so much you can learn from a textbook without experiencing these things yourself. That, combined with knowing what it takes to succeed in these sports from a personal and physical level truly allows me to give my patients the best care possible.

Now I’ll often get asked “Why’d you become a chiropractor?” Well to me, Chiropractic is such a wonderful and unique field primarily because it ends up being so much more personal than other medical disciplines. When someone needs care for a serious injury, they’re often in our office a few times a week, and with that you really get to know each other. As they improve, the conversation shifts from “How’s that pain down your leg?” to “So tell me again about that vacation coming up?” Pretty soon they feel great, are taking less medication, and can get back to living their life. My patients truly become an extension of my family, and I’m grateful everyday for all of them.

I truly look forward to meeting you, and will do my very best to help you live your healthiest life.

All the best,
Dr. Chris
